When I first started working out at F.R.E.E I had a lot of gym anxiety, and I was new to lifting weights. I originally wanted to gain strength to increase my confidence and to feel more comfortable in the gym environment. I always dreamed of being able to do a pull-up and deadlift properly without getting injured. When I first met Ty Khan, my hips were always extremely sore and tight, but it was something I just learned to live with and never intended on trying to fix.

I decided to contact F.R.E.E. Fitness because I felt lost in the gym, even though I knew my initial goals. When I was introduced to Ty, I was very happy with my decision. He was so knowledgeable and took my goals seriously. I am a shift worker, but Ty easily fit me into his schedule.

Since working with Ty, I achieved all my goals and new achieved goals along the way! I learned how to squat and deadlift heavy with proper form, I can do a chin-up, and I’ve gained a lot of strength. Something I didn’t know I wanted was the strength I found in flexibility. Ty has relieved my hip pain and I can touch my toes. I found a new love for becoming bendy and strong!

Ty really listens to what your goals are and incorporates them into amazing programming. His knowledge and experience shines through all his clients. Each session feels like going to coffee with a friend, except I’m sweating and swearing!

My outlook on the gym has completely changed. I no longer worry about what other people think, I just focus on myself and my workout. I also found a love for gymnastics and becoming more flexible, while becoming stronger at the same time.

I would like to encourage people to just take the leap and hire a trainer. Especially any trainer from F.R.E.E. It really was the best decision I’ve made for my fitness/health.
